Belting of Aluminum Piping for the Pipe and Tube Industry

An architectural industry customer approached H & H Polishing to polish raw aluminum pipes to a #4 circumferential brush finish. Sometimes called "architectural finish," this choice is characterized by fine polishing grit lines that are uniform and directional in appearance. We determined the best tool for this belting job would be 180 grit abrasive belt. H&H's continuous monitoring of new technology opportunities enables us to maximize efficiency; this simple one-operation belting process was sufficient to deliver the 20' long, 2.5" diameter pipes in just under three days.
